Student Conduct

To ensure a calm learning environment, we use the following system in our classroom:  Each child has a special pocket in the classroom with a green, yellow, and red card.  When a child needs a reminder of classroom rules:

1st time:  Verbal warning

2nd time:  Your child will be asked to turn their

card from green to yellow.

3rd time:  Your child will be asked to turn their

card from yellow to red.

At this point:

·        Child is asked to sit at their workplace

         for some thinking time.

·        Child loses privilege of taking a basket that night.

·        A note is sent home for parents to sign and return.

If a child receives more that 3 red cards in a trimester, parents will receive a note, a phone call, and possibly a conference.  If a child willfully hurts another classmate, it is an automatic red card and your child may be sent home.
