Parent Participation Hours (PPH)

Parent participation is key in helping deliver critical needs for the school as well as building our sense of community.   A total of 30 points (hours) are required per family per school year.

Parent are responsible for keeping track of their hours of service and reporting them to the school office by May 1st of each school year. Specific Parent Participation Hours receipts are located in the office. They require a signature from activity leader, and a final initial from the principal. Without a completed and signed PPH receipt, the hours can not be tracked. Receipts are located in the office for you to pick up and fill out.

Each family will need to choose at least one major fundraiser:

  • Walk-a-thon
  • Crab Feed
  • Scrip Sales
  • Gala
  • March Madness

All other hours may be completed by:

  • Hot Lunch Help
  • Room Mothers and Classroom Volunteers (sometimes can be done at home)
  • Library Help
  • Tutoring Students
  • Yard Duty
  • Help Librarian with Book Faire
  • School clean-up days
  • Concession Stands
  • Mercy Meetings (1pt. per meeting)
  • Chaperoning field trips
  • Hospitality at various events
  • Gym helpers (score keeping, gym clean-up, etc.)
  • Baking cookies, cakes, etc. for functions (1 pt. per cake or 2 dozen bars)

Immediate 30 hours commitment completed by:

  • Service as a chairperson in School Council
  • Service as Mercy Chairperson
  • Scrip Sales on Sundays for a minimum of 10 Sundays
  • Leader of one of the four major fundraisers
  • Head Coach of a St. A’s sport
