Artesa Winery and Vineyards

Purchase your tickets for Gala 2013, St. Apollinaris Catholic School’s largest fundraiser, on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Artesa Winery and Vineyards. The night will consist of a silent and live auction, a delicious Fume Bistro favorites spring dinner, fabulous wine tastings, and the enjoyment of the beautiful atmosphere courtesy of Artesa Winery and Vineyards. St Apollinaris Wins Academic Decathlon

The St. Apollinaris Decathlon Team took first place in the 2012 Junior High Academic Decathlon competition for the Santa Rosa Diocese on March 3, 2012. Next up…. the team will travel to Orange County to compete for the state title on Saturday, May 5, 2010. This will be the 11th time St. Apollinaris has qualified to compete at the state level! In fact, St. A’s is the first Catholic Academic Decathlon team in the state of California to have won the State Title three times, in 2001, 2005 and 2009!

The Academic Decathlon is a rigorous event made up of two team efforts involving a Logic Quiz and a Super Quiz sandwiched around eight individual events including Religion, English, Literature, Science, Mathematics, Current Events, Social Studies and Fine Arts. The St. Apollinaris students swept the individual events with 3 first places in the following subjects: fine art, math and history, 2 second place finishes in literature and current events and 2 third place finishes in religion and science.

The St. Apollinaris Decathlon Team is comprised of 10 dedicated students including 5 eighth graders: Joseph Bosetti (math), Gavin Glascott (english), Meg Collins (literature), Caspar Croft (current events), and Dena Prince and 5 seventh graders: Mitchell Martin (history), Neha Sidhu (science), Hannah Smorra (religion), Joey Devine and Anna Staggs (fine arts). The students have been studying furiously since early fall to prepare for the competition.
