Science Fair Project
It’s time again to start thinking about science fair projects!!! They will be on display for Catholic Schools Week starting Sunday, January 27, 2008, so projects should be completed and assembled no later than Friday, January 25, 2008 and brought to school starting January, 30th and 31st. Class presentations will start February 4, 2008.
There are three parts to creating a science project and a scientific method in which to follow when assembling your project.
Part I: First figure out what area of science you are most interested in and craft your own question to investigate. I will approve all project questions and hypothesis for appropriate scientific content before you move into the next stage.
Part II: You will now start planning and actively doing your experiment. Please follow the scientific method which I handed out to you. Materials, procedure and results are very important to your questions so be meticulous in your note keeping.
Part III: When you have completed your experiment, you need to present your results, usually on a presentation board. I have attached the grading rubric so that you may be informed of the criteria required for a successful presentation.
Good Luck and Have Fun!
