School Closed March 16th – June 3rd

Dear Parents, Guardians, Alumni, and Friends,

At 10AM this morning of April 2nd, the Napa County Office of Education announced that all district schools will continue distance learning through the remainder of this school year. It is still our hope and prayer that we will return prior to our June 3rd school end date. Please know this is not a decision we take lightly or one we are able to make in isolation. As of right now we will continue with our strong faith and academic distance learning and if we should be able to open our campus, we will notify you immediately. Our teachers are ready for any scenario. Please know we are keeping in special prayer our 8th grade class and all that they are missing out on with our physical closure. Your families are in our thoughts and prayers and we will determine at a later time how we can acknowledge and celebrate our 8th grade. Please pray for the health of our county and that we can have our students return back to our school site prior to June 3rd.

I’d like to take this time to thank you once again for your partnership during this distance learning process. Each week our teachers grow and adapt to what is necessary in keeping our students engaged, and on track to meeting standards for their grade level. This is not an easy task and not any one way is the right answer. Each week I’ve seen a level of growth as we dive deeper into this new way of teaching and learning. I applaud my staff for their communication with your families and for meeting the needs of so many during difficult circumstances. I appreciate the many suggestions you discuss with your child’s teacher. Please know that each school site is different in curriculum and resources that are available. I truly believe that what our teachers are providing during this process will enable our students continued growth spiritually, and academically. I ask that if your family has particular needs and concerns that you address them with your child’s teacher. We are doing our best to work with each family and your unique circumstances. Again, we thank you for your partnership with our teachers and with our school.

Next Thursday, April 9th, Holy Thursday begins our Easter Break. Our distance learning will resume April 20th. Please know your family is being kept in prayer as we look forward to the coming of our Risen Christ on Easter Sunday.

Blessings,

Mrs. Olivia Brazil, Principal
