2015 Book Fair

monster_book_fairOur “Monstrously Fun” Book Fair will begin 11/5 after school in the gymnasium youth room!  This is a new location for us this year and we would like to thank Father Donahue for letting us us this facility and Sherill Richied for procuring it for us – it will allow us to have a bigger, better, more fun book fair than we have ever had before!
Throughout the day, your children will have a chance to visit the book fair as a class and they will get a sneak peek at all the great books we will be offering – they will each make a “wish list” with approximately three books which they will bring home for you (be sure to look for it).  Next week, we will be open each day beginning at 12:40 which means you will be able to stop by before or after your Parent/Teacher conference and pick up a few early Christmas gifts without little eyes watching.  Of course, you and your kiddos are encouraged to stop by together any day during the fair to do even more shopping!
The Scholastic Book Fair is the main fundraiser for the year to keep both our library and our Teachers classroom libraries current with the books your children are asking for.  We get a huge percentage of each of your purchases to put toward buying new books and all of our Teachers usually receive all of the books they have listed on their classroom “wish lists” either through parent donations (look for the opportunity at the fair) or through the proceeds we earn – plus Mrs. Joske gets to get lots of great new books for her library too!
